Surprisingly, my best friend isn’t all that into make up. She has however on numerous occasions raved about the Bite Beauty brand. After hearing her recommend their lip sticks on numerous occasions, I caved and decided to give the brand a chance. Now, I didn’t feel like investing in one single lipstick tube and really wanted to play around with a couple of colours and textures provided by the brand in order to really get a sense of how I feel about the products. When I saw the Bite Beauty Spring Fling Set on Sephora, I knew I had to have it…Yes I did purchase a Spring collection right before Christmas.
While seasonally I’m a little bit off, I do love this package. It really is a perfect introductory set to Bite Beauty and is also an exceptional gift for the holidays. The package contains three mini shades (deluxe sample size) of the Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Gazpacho, Verbena, and Beetroot. Included in the package you also get a full size Line and Define Primer, a mirror and finally an adorable make up bag.
What I love about these mini lip sticks is that they gave me the perfect opportunity to try out a couple of shades without having to commit to one. The lip sticks are essentially a nude pink, a classic bold red and a darker berry shade meaning that the colour range is sufficient enough that at least one of the colours has to fit your skin tone. Trying the lipsticks out I also found them to have a really great crème finish and to be really pigmented. The lipsticks also tended to be extremely long-lasting especially when paired with the primer.
Overall, I tend to be skeptical of lip primers, however, I did really enjoy the Bite Beauty one. I found that it didn’t become cakey like a lot of primers and did actually extend the wear of my lip sticks.
In terms of the make up case I would say that it is on the smaller size. I personally have two really large make up bags and even those don’t seem to be sufficient anymore. However, the small Bite make up bag does seem to be great for bringing to an important event where you would need to occasionally touch up your make up. It would definitely be able to fit a couple of your make up essentials including eyeliner, lip stick and concealer.
Overall, I would highly recommend this kit for anyone interested in trying out the brand. This product seems to be selling out rather quickly but keep checking back at Sephora to see if it’s back in stock!
